Sargent is a 4 year old male.  His is a big, beautiful fawn brindle boy.  No cats, please.  Sargent is still a puppy at heart - very playful and silly. He is a powerful boy and needed some training on lead when he came to GAS.  Sarge was placed in a foster home in early October where he has made great progress.  Read below what his foster family has to say about him.

"Sargent has been a foster in our home since 10/2/09.  He has blended seamlessly into home life.  He has shown himself to be a confident, quiet, clean and curious boy.  He has had no issues with the 2 other female greyhounds in the house and demonstrates no food, space or toy aggression.  Sarge is crated only when his humans are not home and after last turn out for sleeping.  He loves his crate and goes in willingly throughout the day.  Sarge enjoys running in our large yard and loves playing “greyhound fetch” with his special football, and Kong Ball.  He enjoys the company of our resident hounds, but is more tuned into his humans and would probably be fine as an only dog.  He is walking very well on leash with the aid of a Gentle Leader head collar.  He LOVES car rides, beach walks and any adventures presented to him.  He even did well at the local self serve dog wash!  Sarge continues to view other dog breeds as something very intriguing and can become overly stimulated by dogs sprinting close to him.  He seems to improve with each exposure though."
